Ebubekir ŞAHİN

Ebubekir Şahin was born in Rize, Çayeli in 1974. He completed his primary school education in Rize, and high school in Sakarya. In 1995, he graduated from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising of Gazi University's Faculty of Communication. In 2002, he received his master's degree from the Department of Journalism. He served as a civil servant at Ministry of Interior and General Directorate of Security, MP Advisor at Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Private Secretariat and Department Head at Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Public Relations Counsellor at Prime Ministry. Then he served as Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs, Deputy General Manager and Acting General Manager at Anadolu Agency. He undertook positions as the Deputy Undersecretary and Undersecretary at the Ministry of Family and Social Services. In October 2017, he was elected as a Supreme Board Member of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTUK) and in January 2019 as the President of the Board. Also in August 2019, he was appointed to Press Advertisement Institution as the Government Representative. He was elected as a Board Member of Türkiye Halk Bankası AŞ at the General Shareholders’ Meeting on June 12, 2020. He is married with two children.
